Travel Coefficients & Surcharges
Moving heavy diesel machinery across Northeast Florida is not free. We charge flat mobilization surcharges based on portal-to-portal distance from our Jacksonville dispatch yard. All zones are calculated from the point of equipment departure, not city limits.
EPA Washout Compliance Fee
Florida environmental rules prohibit concrete slurry from entering storm drains or coastal sands. If the GC does not provide a compliant washout pit or portable bin on-site, we charge a flat $150 containment fee to transport residual material back to our facility. See our EPA washout setup specifications before your pour date.
After-Hours & Emergency Dispatch
Emergency pours scheduled outside standard hours (6AM–5PM Mon–Sat) carry a $250 emergency dispatch surcharge in addition to standard rates. Pre-scheduled weekend pours booked 48+ hours in advance are exempt from emergency fees.

What Triggers Cost Overruns — and How to Avoid Them
Ready-mix yards charge demurrage. Concrete sets in Florida humidity. The following conditions trigger standby billing or site cancellation fees — plan around them before dispatch day.
Stiff Mix / Slump Violations
Mixes below a 4-inch slump create aggregate bridging and pipeline plug risks under boom hydraulic pressure. Blockage cleanouts result in standby time billed to the GC. Coordinate slump with your batch plant — do not add water at the truck.
Required slump specs →Ready-Mix Delays & Demurrage
Staggered truck arrivals or excess spacing in your pour queue cause pump idle time. Every hour past the scheduled pour window is billed at the equipment's overtime rate. Proper queue coordination directly limits both demurrage and pump overtime.
Queue scheduling guide →Unstable Outrigger Staging
ACPA-certified operators cannot set up on loose Florida sand, utility trenches, or soft fill without engineered dunnage cribbing. Arriving to an unprepared site triggers a show-up fee. Clear a firm, compacted 12-ft access path before dispatch arrives.
